Prompt: Taeyeon carrying Tiffany bridal style so that @superRiCElol will not close the tab before finishing the fic.

“You know what a fan asked me today?” Tiffany spoke up from where she was lounging on the couch.

“What?” Hyoyeon asked, half bored as she sorted through a bowl of chips.

Tiffany smirked. “If Taeyeon could carry me bridal style for more than like, five seconds.”

Taeyeon almost spat out her drink.

Sunny reached over to pat the gagging girl’s back. “There, there.” Then, her expression turned positively wicked. “But hey, that doesn’t sound like a bad idea to try, now does it?”

“Nah.” Sooyoung waved a hand before reaching over to take the chip bowl out of Hyoyeon’s hand. “We don’t get much time to relax. Let’s not end today with a trip to the emergency room, shall we?”

At least, that’s what Taeyeon wished Sooyoung had said.

Instead, the taller girl had grinned as she swiped the snacks from under Hyoyeon’s nose. “You know what? That’s an excellent idea.”

Today was indeed a rare day, one during which all nine of them were actually in the dorm, and not just gathered for a birthday or some other sort of celebration. She had been looking forward to wasting the hours away, just sitting comfortably on the floor with Yoona poking the top of her head ever so often, and Jessica and Yuri arguing over which lame drama to watch next. Seohyun would be off in the kitchen trying to make some sort of healthy concoction that Hyoyeon wouldn’t wrinkle her nose at, and that would be the extent of the effort expended until morning came, along with the return of their busy schedules.

But now, Seohyun was peeking out of the kitchen, watching curiously as Taeyeon and Tiffany were shoved into the middle of the living room after Yoona had dragged the coffee table out of the way.

“Are we really doing this?” Taeyeon protested, not liking how Tiffany was barely suppressing the chuckles that threatened to burst out at any moment.

“Why not?” Sunny shot back cheerfully. “Don’t you want to prove that you really are the guy in the Taeny relationship?”

“But we’re both girls,” Taeyeon pointed out. “How can one of us be the guy?”

“Oh, it’s just for fun, Taetae,” Tiffany laughed. Then she crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows. “Unless…do you think I’m too heavy?”

Sooyoung gasped. “You’re not saying that she’s fat, are you?”

“What? No!” Taeyeon sputtered. Her expression turned indignant. “Do any of you really think you’re even close to being overweight?”

“She’s got a point,” Hyoyeon agreed. “Even if some of us eat like pigs.”

Sooyoung flipped her hair over one shoulder. “No offense taken.”

“But I meant offense,” Hyoyeon shot back.

“Okay, come on, maknae.” Sunny waved Seohyun over. “We’ll show them how it’s done.”

Seohyun slowly walked over, chuckling nervously. “Unnie?”

“Hey, unnie’s got you, okay?” Sunny pretended to flex. “Trust me. Or, here.” She turned around so her back was facing the taller girl. “I’ll piggyback you instead, okay?”

It only took a few more moments of coercing before Seohyun gingerly wrapped her arms around Sunny’s neck. Sunny, in turn, locked her arms firmly around the taller girl’s thighs and spun around once. “See? Easy.”

“I like how maknae’s feet are basically touching the floor,” Yuri snickered.

“As if you’d be any better,” Sunny shot back. She charged towards Yuri and the couch. “YAAAAAH!”

Yuri was quick to jump out of the way. Seohyun screamed as Sunny came to a lurching halt, but the latter bent down slowly so the younger girl could slump onto the couch cushions. Sunny turned to give the others a winning grin. “So, who’s next?”

“No,” Taeyeon said before Tiffany could even open her mouth.

The latter pouted. “How about I carry you instead, then?”

“No more carrying,” Taeyeon huffed.

“Hm.” Tiffany tapped her chin. “If you don’t, I’m going to take your phone and post that picture of you sleeping.”

Taeyeon’s eye twitched. “You wouldn’t dare.”

“Don’t think I wouldn’t,” Tiffany replied coolly.

Taeyeon groaned. “Fine.” She held out her arms. “Okay. Come on.”

“Get off the couch, Juhyun,” Yoona suggested. “I can tell this isn’t going to end well.”

“I resent that.” Taeyeon narrowed her eyes at the younger girl before turning back to Tiffany. “Um, so…”

“Just scoop her up,” Jessica interrupted. “Pretend you’re her knight in shining armor.”

“A secret agent saving her damsel in distress from the clutches of an underground drug gang,” Sooyoung added.

“Or a superhero protecting the city and the person most dear to her heart.” Sunny clasped her hands together and fluttered her eyelashes many more times than necessary.

“I hate you all,” Taeyeon muttered. She shuffled a bit closer to Tiffany, arms still held out stiffly in front of her. “Alright, uh…so…how…”

Tiffany helpfully threw one arm around Taeyeon’s shoulder, allowing the latter to wrap one arm around Tiffany’s. Then, after some more shuffling and other bodily contortions, Taeyeon managed to bend at the knees in order to scoop up Tiffany’s legs.

“Unnie, do you need help standing again?” Yoona managed to ask through her giggles.

“Thanks for the confidence, Yoong,” Taeyeon grumbled. She grunted as she straightened once more, Tiffany awkwardly sagging, but safe, in her grasp. “Really appreciate it.”

They stood still, everyone watching with bated breath. Or trying not to burst out laughing, Taeyeon thought darkly.

“Oh, you’re pretty good at this, Taetae,” Tiffany commented as Taeyeon began to walk carefully, a step at a time. “I guess there is a point to all those fan—OHMYGOD.”

Her sudden exclamation turned into an indistinguishable yelp as Taeyeon dumped her unceremoniously onto the couch. The room exploded into a jumble of laughter, cheers, and applause.

“You’ll carry all the heavy stuff from now on, right, Taeng?” Jessica asked sweetly. “We don’t even need manager-oppa anymore.”

“And no more ‘Him Yoona’.” Yoona pumped a fist. “I can officially retire from lifting. Thanks, unnie!”

Taeyeon sighed, plopping onto the couch next to Tiffany, who was now sitting up and tapping at her phone. “Sica, Yul, just pick something to watch, please.” She reached for her own phone, but then realized it was no longer in her pocket.

“There,” Tiffany said, satisfied. She grinned and tossed Taeyeon’s phone back to the astonished girl. “Consider it payback for dropping me.”

“You landed on the couch, didn’t you?” Taeyeon protested, groaning as she opened the Instagram app and watched the comments of her allegedly latest post flood in.

“You know what would further embarrass Taeng?” Yuri asked, smiling mischievously as she held up a DVD. “Rewatching that first episode of ‘Horror Movie Factory’.”

“I’ll get the popcorn!” Hyoyeon dashed towards the kitchen.

“Unnie, get the whole-grain, not buttered version,” Seohyun called after her.

“What? High sodium, extra butter? Got it!” Hyoyeon shouted back, cackling as the youngest let out an impatient whine and got up to retrieve the right package.

Taeyeon sighed again and sunk deeper into the couch. “I thought today was going to be relaxing.”

“It is though, isn’t it?” Tiffany pointed out, resting her head on Taeyeon’s shoulder.

Taeyeon thought for a moment, watching as Jessica tried to figure out how to work their DVD player, Sooyoung and Sunny taking turns giving her the most unhelpful instructions possible. Somewhere in the kitchen, Hyoyeon had somehow convinced Seohyun to prepare both kinds of popcorn, and Yoona was attempting to sneak extra salt into the healthier version, if Seohyun’s indignant exclamations were anything to go by. Yuri settled herself on Tiffany’s other side, asking if it’d be rude for her to intrude on their post-carrying-bridal-style moment. Tiffany shoved her off the couch in response.

Yeah, Taeyeon agreed silently. Today is pretty relaxing, after all.

Heh.

Edit: I have failed the prompt…but hey, maybe you smiled anyway?
